Inventory Auditing - Policy

There are two types of audits
Audit Type 1 – Occurs when a location is submitted for the first time or has not been previously audited because of inaccurate information and therefore has not previously been audited. When going through this first audit, the auditor must have a photo or photo sheet. If there is partial or inaccurate information this will delay the auditing process for the location.
Audit Type 2 – Occurs by request where the location had previously been audited with a status of Published – Measured. The analyst will look at the locations' orientation (facing), latitude, longitude, construction type, illumination type, frame media name, media type name, size, and segment ID (assignment(s)) for accuracy and precision and make any changes where necessary. This update will be followed by a report indicating the changes and updated preview impressions.
The Atlas tool:
Geopath’s Atlas tool was developed in-house by Michael Riccio and is used by the analyst team to audit, update, and create inventory. It is currently primarily used to update roadside inventory with some updates for Place-Based inventory. The Atlas tool is not currently used for fleet inventory.
The Atlas tool allows the analyst to edit and view attributes, the photo of the location (if it has been provided by the media operator), and view and edit the current assignments.
As noted the analyst can edit the frame, face, spot, and layout of the location.
The analyst is also able to submit a new location by filling out the submission forum.
Roadside Audit
Take a look at the photo provided by the media operator. Example:
Confirm photo on Google Maps, Earth, and Street View. Example:
Once confirmed the latitude, longitude, and orientation will be updated to be as precise as possible
Next, the assignment will be made. Every vantage point where the frame is visible will be included.
Lastly, preview impressions will be generated and provided to the media operator.
