About Geopath and Out of Home measurement
Established in 1933, Geopath, originally the Traffic Audit Bureau for Media Measurement Inc., is a not-for-profit organization governed by a tripartite board comprised of advertisers, agencies, and media companies. Geopath’s historical mission was to audit the circulation of out of home media in the United States.
Our organization has now expanded its historical focus. Geopath looks to the future with state-of-the-art audience location measurement, deep consumer insight, and innovative market research. We use state-of-the-art data, technology, and media research methodologies along with a holistic, integrated approach to provide powerful tools that measure and analyze audience location and show how consumers engage with out of home advertising.

The document details the evolution of Geopath’s measurement system as well as the fundamentals of OOH audience measurement. It will provide a solid foundation for understating the measurements that are returned from the API.
About the Geopath API
The Geopath Insights API is used to retrieve audience information for Geopath audited inventory.
Information provided by the API includes inventory attributes necessary to contextualize the audience measures being reported.
About the Geopath API Documentation Portal
Geopath currently utilizes a Drupal-7 based API developer portal. In this portal, developers can access detailed API documentation on Geopath’s API products and endpoints, as well as create accounts and applications. The documentation portal and links are detailed throughout these sections. The portal will be maintained regularly with recommended updates.
