The media type name is Geopath’s standard media name and is broken down into 6 types defined by the size of the frame. While the frame media name is broken down into many different types and is defined by the media operator.

Use Case:

A frame that is submitted by the media operator has a height of 14 feet by a width of 48 feet will have a media type of bulletin. The frame media name on the other hand can be named by the media operator. In this case, it might be named a spectacular or a permanent bulletin.

These are the six standard media type names:

Media Type Name

Media Type Description

Murals

very large, non-standard products placed directly on building surfaces or attached to walls

Bulletin

extra large-sized standard products (approx. 10-20' H x 36-60' W)

Poster

large-sized products (approx. 10-12' H x 22-25' W)

Junior Poster

moderate-sized products (approx. 5-6' H x 11-13' W)

Panel

small-sized products (approx. 35"H x 63" W - 5-6' H x 11-13' W)

Display

smallest-sized products (approx. less than 35"H x less than 63" W

Goal:

To depict the media type name which is based on the type of construction and size of the frame. This will allow for standard media type classification.
