Layout - Policy
The layout is a set of spaces on the frame where there can be multiple faces. If a frame can support multiple layouts then those layouts need to be included with any submission.
In this example, the layout within this frame contains four faces. If there is only one layout then the layout share of voice will depend on how much of the space within the layout is being used for advertising. All Inventory submitted to Geopath must clearly define the layout share of voice and indicate whether the layout is digital, rotating, full motion, partial motion, has audio, or is interactive. The goal is to understand the total number of different layouts per frame. Different layouts serve as a way to understand how many different configurations one frame might contain.
Use cases:
A media operator that can configure a frame from having just one face to having multiple faces has two layouts. For example, the Times Square billboard in the first image is displaying one layout where there is just one face and one advertiser. While the second image has the same billboard displaying 5 faces or 5 advertisers on the same frame. These two configurations make up two different layouts within the same frame. The layout share of voice will depend on the length of time a layout is displayed. If the first image is displayed 20 percent of the time while the second image is displayed 80 percent of the time then the layout share of voice will be 0.20 and 0.80.
Â
Similarly, a media operator with an airport display might have a single layout with multiple faces within the same frame. For example, the image below contains a face with departures and another with an advertiser. In this layout share of voice will be dependent on the space of the ad. In this case 30 percent or 0.3.
Â
Layout share of voice on the transit fleet side is used to describe the number of buses within a garage. For example, if there are 100 buses within a garage then the layout share will be 0.01.
